A Queenstown hotel where room rates start at $1,250 per night has won top honours at the World Luxury Hotel Awards.
Eichardt's Private Hotel was crowned New Zealand's Best Luxury Boutique Hotel, Australasia's Best Luxury Romantic Hotel and Australasia's Best Luxury Ski Resort at the international competition held in Switzerlandthis month.
The awards were established in 2006 and offer international recognition as voted by guests, travellers and industry players alike.
The winners are chosen by public vote from over 800 hotel profiles.
It offers a 5-star hotel experience designed to epitomise old-world luxury.
Owner of Eichardt's Hotel, Andrew Cox, said he was proud of Eichardt's latest accolades.

Eichardt's is the most awarded private hotel in New Zealand having also been named the Luxury Hotel and Restaurant of the Year at the international Luxury Travel Guide Awards, then crowned New Zealand's Best Ski Boutique Hotel at the annual World Ski Awards for the fifth year running.
