Labour's Grant Robertson gets personal on politics and Flying Nun

In June we took Grant Robertson - the man set to be Finance Minister in the new Government - to the pub, to discuss the big issues over a beer:

Following on from our last Economy Hub at the Pub with Finance Minister Steven Joyce, we took Labour finance spokesman Grant Robertson out to chat about the big picture stuff over a couple of dark porter ales.

Robertson recalls tough times when his father went to jail and his student days chanting "F*** off Goff".

Robertson this week said that if Labour is elected come September, the party would spend $20 billion more than National over the next four years, mainly on health, education and its families package.

It has also set aside $10b in unallocated spending over that time from which it could fund some of the large spending promises of potential coalition partners New Zealand First and the Greens.

Outlining Labour's fiscal plan, Robertson said the party would spend $8b more on health, $4b more on education and $5b more on low-income families.
