MYOB buys Comacc to extend services

Australian-listed accounting software company MYOB has acquired Auckland-based company Comacc, which specialises in personnel and payroll management software.

Comacc has been running for 15 years, employs 38 staff and provides employer services to businesses in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific.

MYOB New Zealand managing director David Lowe said the acquisition would allow MYOB to expand its services in New Zealand.

"MYOB and Comacc offer a range of complementary products and services, which we intend to build on for the benefit of customers of both companies," he said.
