DB cuts ties with Auckland Rugby

DB Breweries has ended a long-standing relationship with Auckland Rugby today by announcing it is not renewing its sponsorship deal with the union.

The alcohol company sponsored the union for 21-years, which also included the Blues Super 14 franchise.

In a statement, DB Breweries said they are proud to have sponsored Auckland Rugby for such a long time but are now looking at other opportunities to grow the brand in the Auckland market.

DB Breweries will continue to sponsor rival Super 14 teams the Crusaders and the Hurricanes as well as a number of provincial Unions and clubs around the country.
