Creech to join NZ Windfarms

Former cabinet minister Wyatt Creech is to join the board of NZ Windfarms Ltd from May 1.

The company has developed the Te Rere Hau Wind Farm near Palmerston North.

Creech formerly represented the Wairarapa region for the National Party.

He was a cabinet minister between 1990 and 1999 and deputy prime minister from 1998 to 1999. Since retiring from Parliament in 2002, he has led the establishment of Open Country Dairy Company Ltd.
