Transpacific cleared to buy some EnviroWaste businesses

The Commerce Commission has cleared Transpacific Industries to buy some businesses off EnviroWaste Services.

This year, the commission turned down Transpacific's application to buy all EnviroWaste's South Island assets and half of Manawatu Waste, on the grounds that several markets would have suffered.

Transpacific was yesterday cleared to buy EnviroWaste's solid waste collection businesses in four centres and solid waste businesses in two others.
