Tourism Holdings' chief executive Dennis Pickup will retire in March.
He has led the company, which owns campervan fleets and tourism attractions in New Zealand and Australia, since November 1998.
Now that major restructuring was complete, Pickup said a change in leadership was appropriate.
Tourism Holdings' chairman Keith Smith was
confident a new chief executive would be in place before Pickup left.
The firm's New Zealand operations include Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World, Waitomo Caves and Kiwi Experience.
In Australia, it has more 1000 motorhomes under the Britz, Maui and Hertz brands.
