''For the peak season when there is not enough accommodation at the luxury inn, it can be used and guests will have access to the hotel's facilities.''
The starting price of $12,500 is for an overnight stay for a group of up to 10 guests sharing the yacht's four suites.
Eichardt's is part of the Imperium Collection group, owned by Christchurch businessman Andrew Cox.
The yacht will have two crew members, who can also stay on board overnight.
Guest packages include tailored cruises on Lake Wakatipu, a helicopter trip to the West Coast to collect crayfish, custom fire-work displays and supercar rides.
Mr Cox said the company was ''thrilled'' to have acquired the yacht.
''The Pacific Jemm is currently undergoing a significant upgrade to bring it to the standard that our guests expect, and will offer signature experiences akin to the standard set by the penthouse.''
Day trips and private events for up to 45 people can also be hosted on the yacht.
The vessel is expected to be ready for customers next month and the company has already started taking bookings.
