Designer casts fashion eye on the Sky

Fashion designer Kate Sylvester has been commissioned to design the uniforms for the staff the of the $85 million hotel SkyCity is building in Auckland. She says she is "taking a lead from the hotel's internal fit-out as I just love the beautiful use of colour, texture and art. There is plenty of inspiration there". The SkyCity Grand Hotel will have 14 levels of accommodation - 317 rooms plus suites - when it opens in April.
