Gen-i to service Corrections

Telecom's business solutions provider Gen-i has signed a five-year contract with the Department of Corrections to supply telecommunication services such as real-time monitoring and high definition video conferencing, it was announced yesterday.

Gen-i will also provide mobile services for corrections staff.

Gen-i chief executive Chris Quinn said the contract was "ground breaking".

The contract will support more than 200 correction sites.
