SkyCity is to pay $7.5 million to buy the share of Hamilton's Riverside Entertainment Centre that it does not already own.
SkyCity's Hamilton operation, including a casino, is the main occupant of the Riverside centre.
Entertainment facilities being acquired include a bar, a 10-lane bowling alley, the Megazone games centre
and a laser strike operation.
The announcement came after markets closed last night.
Shares in SkyCity have dipped in the past couple of days on speculation the casino operator was gearing up for a much larger purchase.
