Shops to remain closed until 1pm

The Department of Labour is reminding anyone looking for a spend-up today that shops are closed until 1pm.

It is also urging retailers, including market stall holders, to seek legal advice if they plan to open this morning.

They can also contact the department to see how the law applies to their business.

The Department of Labour says retail activities must comply with restrictions on what is for sale, and how much is available.
