Foodstuffs to open first new liquor store in Queenstown

The first of a new chain of South Island liquor stores will open in Queenstown in October.

Foodstuffs South Island yesterday announced plans for a South Island chain of liquor outlets under the Henry's brand. The first store will open in Queenstown on October 16.

This coincides with plans by Foodstuffs, the country's biggest grocery operator, to open a national chain of big-box liquor stores with the brand name Duffy & Finn. The first store opens in Porirua this week.
