Charlies expands market overseas

Beverage maker Charlies Group Ltd said Caffe Bene stores in South Korea will stock a range of its Phoenix Organics drinks from November 1.

The distribution agreement organised by the company's Korean distributor covers 300 stores.

Charlies reported earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of $3.4 million in the year to June 30, which was a turnaround from a $900,000 loss reported in 2009.

The Australian subsidiary contributed over 50 per cent of this year's profit.
