Avery set to retire from Warehouse

Long-time Warehouse Group board member John Avery will retire after 25 years with the company.

Avery, an adviser since 1984, has been a member of the board since The Warehouse listed publicly in 1994.

Warehouse Group chairman Keith Smith said, in an announcement to the stock exchange yesterday: "John has been a pleasure to work with and his experience of legal affairs and property matters in particular will be greatly missed."

His retirement will take effect after the annual meeting in November.
