Hart joining forces with Lachlan Murdoch

Graeme Hart is reported to be teaming up with Lachlan Murdoch, son of media baron Rupert Murdoch.

The Australian Financial Review, owned by Murdoch rival John Fairfax, said Lachlan Murdoch had told Australia's National Press Club that Hart was helping him buy a business. The paper said the duo had looked at between 50 and 60 companies.

Lachlan Murdoch split with the family firm News Corporation in July last year and has returned to Australia.

But reports over the past few days have suggested he may be planning a return to his father's empire.

"Lachlan might come back," Rupert Murdoch told the Financial Times this week.

However, Lachlan Murdoch's wife, Sarah, has played down the rumours, saying her family is happy in Australia.
