Fisher & Paykel Appliances new managing director and chief executive Stuart Broadhurst.

Fisher & Paykel Appliances has announced a new chief executive and managing director.

Stuart Broadhurst has been appointed to the roles, effective from today.

Broadhurst, who began work at the company as a graduate accountant in 1988, was appointed chief operating officer in July this year.

He has been acting chief executive since September, when John Bongard, who had been battling cancer, stood down.
