$12m deal for Windflow

Windflow Technology has won a $12 million-plus order to supply 16 turbines to the Te Rere Hau wind farm, near Palmerston North.

The wind farm has resource consent for 97 turbines and has been running five for the past year. The latest deal raises the total on order to 44.

Chief executive Geoff Henderson said: "The Windflow 500 addresses the challenge of sustainability by being smaller and lighter while being purpose- built for the roaring 40 wind strength peculiar to many of New Zealand's rugged ridge lines."
