"Encouraging prisoners to eat healthily and exercise complements our work to tackle alcohol and drug abuse. It ultimately helps rehabilitation and reduces the burden on the health system."
There would be no "extras" for inmates over the Easter weekend, just simple prison fare.
It's a far cry from Moreton's Bar and Restaurant in the swanky Auckland suburb of St Heliers, a known hang-out of Petricevic.
There, the failed financier could have chosen from a selection of main courses including chicken breast served on corn cake with red pepper salsa, grilled asparagus, crispy prosciutto and lemon beurre blanc sauce, Akaroa salmon fillet, duck-breast, or herb-crusted lamb rump.
It's unlikely Petricevic, who was a regular on the Remuera golf course, will be able to indulge in any leisure activities other than those prescribed by the prison.
