Long-haul flights produce growth for Air NZ

Air New Zealand has reported an 8.5 per cent rise in passengers last month compared with August 2006. Short-haul routes had 6.6 per cent growth and long-haul routes 20.8 per cent growth, the airline said yesterday.

The group-wide load factor was strong during August, with 79.5 per cent of seats filled. Long haul saw a 10.7 per cent increase in load factor.
