Fonterra payout remains as stated

Fonterra is sticking to the $4/kg milksolids payout forecast it issued in September for the season ending May 31, 2006.

In May, Fonterra announced a forecast payout to farmers of $3.85/kg, then lifted that in September to $4/kg.

The co-operative's directors reviewed the figure and decided to offer nothing more to farmers.

"Nothing has changed in the past few months to cause us to alter our forecast payout," said Fonterra chairman Henry van der Heyden
