Carter Holt Harvey to sell Rotorua sawmill

Wood processor Carter Holt Harvey yesterday said it plans to sell its Rotorua sawmill, saying the plant although "effective" does not fit in with its current strategy.

Chief executive of CHH wood products Tom Nickels said the company had "begun a process" to sell the mill after carrying out a "thorough review of its appearance-grade timber mills".

The outcome of the "process" was expected to be known by about mid-July.
