Finalists for the annual Deloitte Top 200 Awards have been named with several top companies and business leaders vying for the prestigious titles.
This year's finalists for the young executive of the year category co-sponsored by Institute of Management New Zealand and Eagle Technology, are Taryn Hamilton consumer general managerat telco M2 Group, Daniel Warsaw general manager of business and partnerships at Wellington Zoo and Craig West, northern general manager at infrastructure business Downer New Zealand.
Fiona Hewitt, Institute of Management New Zealand chief executive and co-sponsor of the young executive category said the calibre of the applicants was a positive sign for the industry, and it was important to celebrate these individuals.
"The applicants this year are all making very strong differences in their own industries but they all show a commonality around making a proactive difference, caring about their people, disrupting their businesses and I think it's important," Hewitt said. "People like that need to be recognised and we need to really showcase people who are doing that in the New Zealand market."
