Bungy NZ buy cleared

The Commerce Commission yesterday cleared Bungy New Zealand to buy the Pipeline Bungy business based in Skippers Canyon near Queenstown.

Bungy NZ owns the A.J. Hackett brand. Pipeline Bungy is owned by Nagi Tahu Tourism.

The commission said bungy was in the same market as other adventure tourism operators so competition would not be affected by the consolidation.
