British Airways faces drop

British Airways, Invensys and Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Group may exit the UK benchmark FTSE 100 Index later this month, based on their market value when the stock market closed on Friday.

FTSE Group, which compiles the FTSE 100, will carry out its latest quarterly review of the index after trading ends on March 12. Companies will be added to or deleted from the index based on their market values at that day's close.

Any company that has become one of Britain's 90 biggest by market value since the last review will automatically join the FTSE 100. Index members that have slid to 111th place or lower will drop down to the FTSE 250 Index.
