All wine and roses for Delegat's

Delegat's Wine Estate's half-year profit has increased 40 per cent, thanks to strong global demand for its Oyster Bay and Delegat's brands.

The country's third-biggest wine exporter is expected to list on the NZX soon, with a market value pegged at about $300 million.

Net profit for the six months to December 31 was $2.2 million. Revenue was up 34 per cent to nearly $38 million.

Delegat's on Monday concluded its successful $6 a share offer for a majority stake of Oyster Bay Marlborough Vineyards after a protracted takeover fight.
