Gareth Morgan has attacked Winston Peters in a full page advertisement today.

Gareth Morgan's Opportunities Party has taken a full-page advertisement in today's Herald newspaper urging National and Labour voters to use their electorate vote to stop Winston Peters.

In the advertisement he has asked Aucklanders to change the course of the election by voting for Top candidates in Auckland Central, Manukau East, North Shore, Mt Albert, Rodney and Mt Roskill.

"Do you want this country dragged backwards by Winston's NZF, or propelled forward by The Opportunities Party? It's up to YOU. Use your electorate vote to back TOP so that you have a government for the future, not the past," the advertisement said.

It says Labour and National candidates will almost certainly get into Parliament on their party lists and giving them their electorate vote will make no difference to where Labour and National end up on election night.

The advertisement, which features photographs of the Top candidates in the six electorates, concludes with the line "truly progressive thinkers will party vote TOP too!".
