Emergency services were called to Omaka Aerodrome outside Blenheim this afternoon after the nose wheel on a light aircraft collapsed on landing.
The Nelson Aviation College student pilot, a 21-year-old visitor to New Zealand, was not injured.
Blenheim police said the aircraft suffered some frontal damage during the 3pm landing.
