I don't care what people say about Penny. All I want to know is whether she is prepared to commit to saying by what percentage in real terms she is going to reduce my annual rates bill.

I'm appalled. I'm shocked to my socks. How could Penny Bright get a Good Citizen's Award?
How can we ever have a lawful society when we have a photo of Bright being evicted from a council meeting for disruptive behaviour - 22 times in all.
As for being a mayoral candidate, the mind boggles.
This is a person who does not pay her water bills. Everyone else does out there in a "law-abiding world".
She is another ratepayer parasite.

Good to see some kudos given to someone with conviction who isn't frightened to stand up against the status quo and who works diligently to improve the community, without looking to profit personally for it. Good on you Penny, you're a champion.

This woman is nothing but a menace who has cost many many people a lot of money in legal fees and penalties from advising them not to pay their water bills. When trouble arises, she dumps them and they are left to their own devices.

I've met Penny on more than one occasion. She is awesome. She thoroughly deserves her recognition. I can't praise her too highly.

Congratulations to Penny on her well deserved award. I am from the South of the South Island and appreciate the help Penny has given me in my fight for transparency and good governance practices in the Gore District Council.

What determines getting a "good citizens" award? Surely there were more deserving people in the Eden/ Albert community board's ward than Ms Bright. Getting arrested many times at full council meetings does not merit any award or do board's nominators (e.g. councillors) have an undue influence on nominations to their political party supporters?
