In response to Waging war on waggers, my family and I are from Hawkes Bay, and we will be avoiding Onehunga as if it were Swine Flu Central.
After an exhausting drive to Auckland to catch an international flight we decided to stop at Dressmart for a coffee break before we headed
to the airport. It took less than 15 minutes for low-life scum to break into my vehicle, steal 120kg worth of luggage, and leave me $3000 worth of damages to repair.
To make the situation even more unpleasant, the car park security guard told me, "There is nothing we can do, this is a common, everyday occurrence in Onehunga and no CCTV footage was available.''
My advice to anyone preparing for the upcoming festive season: If you want to have an enjoyable experience don't shop at Onehunga. Find somewhere more secure and safe
where staff show a lot more empathy.
