LETTER: $60,000 question

To the Grey Lynn Community Centre: I read $60,000 Question and am absolutely flabbergasted.
How dare you spend $60,000 to paint a wall - do you realise we are in the middle of a recession? If you have a surplus of money, please offer it to another group. Obviously, you are flush with funds and paid a good wage to dream up ideas on how to use it.
There is nothing wrong with the side of the building and if you don't like looking at it - as you must have nothing else to do all day - then find another room to twiddle your fingers.
Personally, I do not want my rates spent on such a frivolous waste of time and money.
