Is the inorganic service a waste of time?

I really believe someone else's rubbish can be someone else's treasure.
If we have re-useable items then surely those who don't have disposable money, can make use of a table or chair. I don't agree with these people who go around and pick up stuff that they think they can make a buck or two on. But some people really do take the mickey chucking out ridiculous amounts of junk.
Where does it all come from in the first place?Depending on the demographics of some areas, sure there is going to be real rubbish and other areas there are going to be re-useable items. Perhaps there can be a better system. If you have something that can be used then there should be a drop off depot for this.
And limit the amount of real junk. People get carried away and make huge mess of the roads and pavements which is a real health hazard. I enjoy a big clean up around the home and for those of us who pay rates, we should have the means of getting rid of our rubbish for free. It's only once a year after all.
