Farmers is set to return to Auckland CBD with the announcement today that the department store will move into the building currently occupied by Whitcoulls on Queen Street.
James Pascoe Group said Whitcoulls will continue its presence in the area with one store in the Downtown Shopping Mall.
The newFarmers would be open for business before Christmas.
Queen Street has seen a revival in recent months with the arrival of big name stores like Prada and Swarovski and the recently opened Top Shop.
