Concrete spills from truck in Avondale

A truck has rolled in Avondale  spilling wet concrete across the road.

The accident happened at the intersection of Rosebank Road and Ash Street at about 3.20pm.

Police say the concrete mixing drum detached from the vehicle and it will take some time to clear the spilled concrete from the road.

One lane is blocked and police say that motorists can expect delays.

Police have asked people to avoid the area if at all possible, and for those that have to pass through the scene to excercise caution and patience.

No one was injured in the incident.
