Shoreside Theatre presents the Agatha Christie thriller And Then There Were None for nine performances at The PumpHouse in Takapuna. Ten people are invited to a house party on a remote island off the coast of Devon. The curious assortment of strangers cut off from civilisation makes for interesting times.

VOICES COMBINE
The City of Auckland Singers and four young choirs from Aorere College - The Sweet Sixteen, The Decibelles, the Junior and Front Row Choirs - team up for a show next Saturday. The Sweet Sixteen were awarded silver and bronze awards in NZ Choral Federation Nationals last year, while all-male group The Front Row gained bronze in 2011's Big Sing competition. The proceeds from this concert will help fun their planned tour of Rotorua/Taupo.

YOUNG DANCERS' TIME TO SHINE
When 12 young dancers from Auckland's newest dance group - the Auckland Youth Dance Company - step onto the stage it will be the chance for the 11 girls and one boy to display their expertise in a professional production. The dance company will present its inaugural Triple Bill season with the assistance of Auckland Council's Creative Communities scheme. Choreography is by Elizabeth Harvey to Douglas Lilburn's piano music, Ichiro Harada to music by Flight of the Conchords and Shapeshifter, and Geordan Wilcox to music by Tiki Taane and Rhian Sheehan.
Elizabeth Harvey created the company to give Auckland's young dancers the chance to work with professional choreographers in a dance company environment.

WINTER SPLASH
The annual fancy-dress Mission Bay swim is on Sunday. This year's theme is Pirates of the Caribbean for the mid-winter dip and associated activities at Selwyn Reserve.
Cannon fire will signal the start of the race to the icy water. Face painting and a pirate ship bouncy castle will be among the other attractions. Registration starts at noon, swim at 2pm, entertainment until 3pm.

Ubuntu is New Zealand's first national African Forum, being held this weekend.
