The only way you can beat a good comedy about a man dressing up as a woman is to make one with two men getting their frocks on.
Big Momma (Martin Lawrence) is back with the third instalment of her adventures after earlier efforts in 2000 and 2006.
This timearound she/he enlists the help of her/his stepson Trent (Brandon T. Jackson) to retrieve a memory stick with vital information on it that will help convict a very bad guy.
Trent is a simple high-school kid who makes rap music.
He doesn't necessarily want to go to university if he gets a break with his music.
But when he witnesses a murder, his life is at stake and he must go undercover - as a girl - with FBI agent and stepdad Martin in order to find the memory stick while somehow staying alive.
As Big Momma and Charmaine, they make a new home at an all-girls performing arts school and, while new house mother Big Momma hunts for clues, new student Charmaine must fight the natural urges of a young man surrounded by beautiful young female students.
There are high jinks and silly moments to be had as they defy the evil guys, but all in all it is harmless fun.
As you might expect, Big Momma's House - Like Father Like Son is not deep and the plot is relatively thin, but it is a fun adventure for its teenage target market.
