Bowing out

Twenty years conducting the Auckland Choral ends with a flourish for Peter Watts this week at Auckland Town Hall. His farewell concert opens with the world premiere of The Ring of Worlds, written by Kiwi composer David Hamilton for the occasion. Andrew Carter's Benedicte follows, combining choir and orchestra with the voices of the Auckland Girls' Choir. Soloists include soprano Emma Roxburgh, mezzosoprano Mary Newman- Pound, tenor Brent Read and baritone Wade Kernot.
