Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's nephew was fined for offensive behaviour after dressing in a Ku Klux Klan costume to protest against racism at a demonstration outside the Australia Open tennis championship.
Van Thanh Rudd, the son of the PM's brother Malcolm, and another man were protesting against a recent spate of violence against Indians in Melbourne when police broke up the demonstration and told them to move along.
They were each issued with a A$234 ($300) ticket for offensive behaviour, Victoria police said.
