A Tinui woman has escaped serious injury after rolling her car while overtaking on the Masterton Castlepoint Rd yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the single-vehicle crash near the Riversdale turn-off at about 11am.
Senior Sergeant Mike Sutton said the sole occupant of the car, a 36-year-old woman, had been heading home to Tinui when she rolled the car, which came to rest in a ditch.
"She's lost control of the vehicle and fishtailed and has rolled.
"She has been taken to hospital for further examination but should be okay."
The woman's injuries were not believed to be serious, Mr Sutton said.
She had been overtaking another vehicle just before the crash, he said.
The occupants of the other car were not hurt.
It was suspected speed may have been a factor in the crash.
It was not yet clear if charges would be laid, Mr Sutton said.
