Kiwi software company 9 Spokes is set to enter the North American market and provide their platform to Royal Bank of Canada.
9 Spokes co-Founder and CEO Mark Estall said the deal was the company's most significant business development milestone since their initial public offering.
"The partnership has evolved quickly, since the first meeting in Toronto in February, demonstrating the agility and pace of the Royal Bank of Canada team and a shared vision for SME customers," Estall said.
9 Spokes provides a smart dashboard which allows companies to connect their existing apps and software to reveal an overview of cash flow, people and sales statistics, all in one place.
Users can access all their vital information about business operations from the interface and get an overview of their metrics on any device.
9 Spokes's Head of Investor Relations and Business Optimisation James Schofield said in multiple geographies, banks are searching for a solution for their customers.
"In a short period of business development, the platform has been extremely popular, with interest from some of the largest banks in North America. This builds on the validation provided by our first bank customer, Barclays Bank, which is one of the leading banks globally," Schofield said.
In January, 9 Spokes announced partnerships with Barclays Bank, Propel by Deloitte, and Suncorp who, as channel partners, will roll out the free service to their SME clients, paying a subscription fee to 9 Spokes.
Those business use 9 Spokes to increase the revenue of their clientele, reduce costs and adequately collect data.
More than 6000 customers use the platform to manage their data tracking.
The company grew from 25 staff last year to over 100 in 2017.
9 Spokes expects to formalise the contract with Royal Bank of Canada within the next three months.
