Breakthrough All Blacks wing Nehe Milner-Skudder says he's making a fast recovery after undergoing surgery on his shoulder.
Milner-Skudder dislocated his shoulder in the Hurricanes' hard-fought victory over the Auckland Blues.
Yesterday surgeons completed his shoulder reconstruction and Milner-Skudder shared a photo from the hospital bed alongside his girlfriend Hanna Tevita who was there to support him following the operation.
"Op all done and dusted. In good hands with this one looking after me on the road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for the messages of support."
Because of the injury Milner-Skudder will miss the Super Rugby season and realistically won't be seen in an All Blacks jersey until at least the year-end tour to the United States and Europe.
However for now the tough slog of rehab awaits.
"Obviously I'd love to still contribute to the boys and chip in where I can. I'll probably see how my hydration technician (water boy) skills go and making protein shakes."
