Bowlers struggle to do it, but a gastro bug has managed to rip through Kane Williamson, forcing him to miss training at Seddon Park today.
Williamson, along with Daniel Vettori and Grant Elliott suffered illness after the victory over Afghanistan in Napier. Vettori and Elliott had recovered enough to train.
Williamson is not understood to be in danger of missing New Zealand's final pool match against Bangladesh on Friday. He has the best average of the New Zealand side at the tournament, scoring 182 runs at 60.66.
Luke Ronchi was relatively frank at today's media conference, describing what the trio have gone through.
"It's a bug that comes out from certain places at simultaneous times," he explained.
Adam Milne trained lightly today after bruising the A/C joint of his shoulder against Afghanistan.
Ronchi has had few opportunities with the bat at the World Cup, having scored 47 runs from 36 balls, but has enjoyed keeping to the New Zealand attack from what he described as "the best seat in the house".
"Every game one particular bowler is doing well. It's awesome standing behind the stumps to see the swing in action, and keeping to Dan is fun watching him work bowlers out.
"He doesn't turn it as much as he used to, which is a good thing for me. I don't have to worry quite so much, but it's hard work keeping to any spinner.
New Zealand have lost their last seven away ODIs to Bangladesh but won all three when they last faced them at home in 2010.
Ronchi said a batting meeting had been held this morning to do some homework on the Bangladesh bowlers.
