Police have made three arrests following a police operation targeting cannabis cultivation this morning.
A 46-year-old male and a 30-year-old male have been charged with cultivating cannabis, while a 42-year-old female has been charged with possessing equipment to cultivate cannabis.
Those arrested are appearing in the North Shore District Court this afternoon.
A drug raid at a North Shore house this morning was part of the police operation targeting cannabis cultivation.
A police spokesman said they were conducting search warrants in regards to cannabis cultivation at several addresses across Auckland.
The house on Roseberry Ave in Birkenhead was raided about 8am a local resident, who asked not to be named, said.
"There are still about five cops there now at 11.30am with two unmarked cars and one marked police car."
He said there was "a whole heap of junk" sitting outside the house, and people inside wearing boiler suits.
