Police were called out to two burglaries in Auckland in the early hours of this morning.
Just before 1am, a vehicle was reported to have crashed through the Deadly Ponies handbag store on Mackelvie St, Ponsonby.
Two men broke into the shop and took a number of high end handbags before making off in a vehicle - later confirmed to be stolen - driven by a woman. The vehicle the men had initially used was also stolen.
The police eagle helicopter tracked the trio and arrested them.
About an hour after the incident, police were called out to Henderson, West Auckland, where a group of youths had been spotted breaking into a local bakery.
The police eagle was sent out to the area and again tracked the offenders while police dogs worked to find them on the ground. The youths were found and stolen property from the bakery recovered.
