A body has been found in the area where a 53-year-old woman went missing.
Kapiti-Mana police were advised about 5.30pm this evening that the body of a female had been spotted by a member of the public near Duck Creek in the Pauatahanui Inlet.
Police had recovered the body and would now begin a formal identification process and a post-mortem examination.
Police had been searching the area for 53-year-old Julia Springer who was last seen on Sunday.
A search team of 12 today concentrated on the coastal track around the inlet.
Ms Springer's car, still warm, was located on Grays Rd, Plimmerton, at 2.30am yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam said earlier that nothing had led police to believe her disappearance was suspicious.
