A 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Masterton's Colombo Rd on Saturday night, police say.
The attack comes just over a month after another sexually motivated attack, in Queen Elizabeth Park.
The girl told police she was walking alone near the Colombo Rd bridge about 9.30pm and was confronted by a man who pushed her to the ground and assaulted her.
Detective Sergeant Tracey Calder said police were still trying to identify the attacker, who was unknown to the girl.
Wairarapa CIB have conducted a scene examination and the girl will be interviewed in the next few days.
In August, another 14-year-old girl was forced down a bank near the swing bridge at the park about 5pm on a Saturday. A youth aged 16 was referred to Youth Aid.
Police want to hear from anyone who was in the Colombo Rd area at the time of Saturday's attack who may have seen the girl or her attacker. Contact Masterton police on 06 370 0300 or anonymously on Crimestoppers, 0800 555 111.
