The wreckage of the collision on Rotowaro Rd, west of Huntly, which killed Rachel Wallace and her 3-year-old son Lochie.
Rachel Wallace, who was killed with her 3-year-old son Lochie in a road accident on Friday, is being remembered as a "dependable lover and friend".
The "very special mum" leaves behind her partner Mike Chubb and 2-year-old daughter Molly after her car lost control on Rotowaro Rd, west of Huntly.
Ms Wallace, 37, was on her way to Huntly Kindergarten on Friday morning when her car and a logging truck collided.
Yesterday her family remembered her in death notices as a solid friend to her husband and referred to the toddler as "Mike's boogie boy".
They thanked people who helped at the scene and said their thoughts were with the 59-year-old truck driver.
Ms Wallace's Auckland-based family also expressed their loss: "Words cannot express our sorrow. You will both be in our hearts forever."
A funeral is to be held tomorrow at Glen Afton Citizen Sports Club at 1pm.
