An injured 30-year-old tramper has been flown to Nelson hospital after her husband tramped out of the Kahurangi National Park to get help.
The Westport woman was crossing a river on Saturday when she slipped and injured her leg.
She and her husband managed to make their way to a nearby hut, and he walked out yesterday to raise the alarm.
The Summit Rescue Helicopter managed to fly in to the hut and pick her up around 11am today.
