Part of Auckland's Southern Motorway will be closed tonight for safety improvements.
The closure affects the Walmsley Road on-ramp at Mangere Bridge, and a small section of the Southwestern Motorway.
New Zealand Transport Agency spokesman Ewart Barnsley said the sections will be closed from 4pm today and will reopen at 10am tomorrow.
He said the work is being done now to coincide with the end of daylight saving, giving contractors an extra hour to work.
Mr Barnsley said access to and from the airport would not be affected, because other southbound and northbound lanes will stay open.
The end of daylight saving means clocks go back one hour overnight.
