Vodafone New Zealand's Egyptian call centre has been caught up in the anti-Government riots in Cairo.
There have been delays on its New Zealand help lines because of the blackout imposed by the Mubarak regime, and the simple fact call centre staff have had trouble getting to work.
GM of corporate affairs Tom Chignell says they are bridging the gap with call centre staff in New Zealand.
He is apologising for any delays customers experience and says the company is working to get things back to normal.
Vodafone has four call centres, three of which are in New Zealand.
It has outsourced some of its help calls to a call centre run by Vodafone Egypt since 2007.
